Business Improvement Area
Downtown Cambridge also contains the Downtown Cambridge Business Improvement Area (BIA) known as Galt on the Grand. This BIA includes:

- Cambridge Farmers' Market
- Fire Hall Museum and Education Centre
- Cambridge Centre for the Arts (CCA)
- Cambridge Community Players (formerly Galt Little Theatre)
- The David Durward 50+ Centre
- The main branch of the Idea Exchange (Cambridge Public Library and Galleries)
- The University of Waterloo School of Architecture
Made up of about 250 members, this is the largest BIA in Cambridge. Members include retail, commercial, service and office space users in the area. The Downtown Cambridge BIA provides information about real estate availability, retail promotion, membership activities and services.
